Quinny Zapp Xtra, Zapp and Maxi Cosi Cabriofix

I always love Quinny brand as the strollers are all stylish and great for modern parents. And one of the Quinny stroller I own is the Quinny Zapp Xtra.

Why I chose Quinny Zapp Xtra?

Well, the main reason I chose Zapp Xtra is because of the recline-ability of the seat. It can be used from newborn! You can recline the seat until it's in horizontal position where baby can lay comfortably.

Rearward facing is good for newborns as the baby can see his mother/father pushing the stroller and feel safer seeing familiar faces ;)

I didn't however, use the Zapp Xtra seat when my baby was born. That's because I'd purchased Maxi Cosi Cabriofix carseat!

The Maxi Cosi (MC) Cabriofix carseat is a MUST for every parents who own a car. It's important to have an infant carseat for your baby to rest in when you travel by car. Safety first!

So, during my baby's early months, we always use the Quinny Zapp Xtra's stroller frame and the MC carseat. I love this combo! It's perfect and great for traveling. You don't have to pick up the baby from his seat to put on stroller (you'll risk waking him up, and that's no good if u plan to do some shopping! haha), all you have to do is pick up the cute carseat and put it on the stroller frame.

The Quinny Zapp Xtra, if purchased from authorized reseller, comes with a full set which is; raincover, shopping basket and Maxi Cosi adapters! So there is no need to buy additional adapters anymore... It comes with the purchase.

I love how the stroller frame is so compact when folded. This is the same case with Quinny Zapp (not Zapp Xtra, just Zapp). It is light and good for traveling. Only problem with Zapp is, it cannot recline at all... So cannot be used from newborn...

Back to how compact it is when folded, take a look at the picture below:

Please remove the Zapp Xtra seat from your mind if you're just using the stroller frame with MC Cabriofix carseat.

It's compact!

But when put together with the Zapp Xtra seat, no... it's no longer compact.

Also not great if you're traveling by bus or flights cos the seat is bulky.

It's separated from the frame, so to me, it's not practical if you want to bring the stroller on a bus, ferry or airplane.

Stick to Zapp if you're traveling as they are definitely designed for traveling!
