Ni ada soalan yang selalu saya terima. Frequently Asked Questions lah kiranya. Ok so di entry ni saya terangkan dengan detail ape beza Boba Air dan Boba 4G

1st sekali, Boba 4G adalah baby carrier jenis ssc (soft structured carrier) yang selalu kita tengok macam beg sekolah tu.

Material dari cotton canvas, ade padding, ada foot straps, ade sleeping hood, pokets etc. Boba 4G ni lebih kurang sama la macam ssc jenama lain seperti Ergobaby, Stork Snuggbaby, Jumpsac Orbit or Manduca (sekadar contoh)

Antara Boba Air dan Boba 4G, lebih selesa pakai Boba 4g cos ade padding and materialnya cotton.

Harga retail Boba 4g adalah RM428 utk printed design (bercorak) dan RM418 utk plain color (xde corak).

Boba 4g Montenegro, Dusk, Tweet, Kangaroo etc ni SEMUANYA SAMA sahaja dari segi material. Beza hanya pada warna dan corak. Yang takde corak (plain) murah sikit. tu je...

Lagi satu yang kerap orang tanya pada saya ialah ape beza Boba 3g dan Boba 4g?

Well, Boba 4g adalah yang latest dari Boba... Boba 4G = Boba generasi ke 4. Atau 4th Generation of Boba ssc. Di mana pada Boba 4g ni ada improvement dari segi design iaitu perbezaan dari sleeping hood, ade lebar sikit dari 3g and Boba 4G ade infant insert (Boba 3g takde). Trivia: Tahukah anda Boba juga ade versi Boba 2G? 2nd Generation pastu diganti dengan 3rd Generation (Boba 3G) and now Boba 4G?

Untuk makluman, Boba 3g sudah dihentikan pengeluarannya dan digantikan dengan Boba 4g. So dah takde jual Boba 3g ni melainkan stok-stok lama at a discounted price. And kalau nak beli preloved, check dulu dengan seller betul-betul sama ada yang dijualnya itu Boba 3g or 4g? 3g xde insert yer... so kalau beli insert asing pun takde tempat nak attach pada carrier.

Ni rupa infant insert Boba 4g. 

Kegunaan? 

Untuk dukung newborn dengan lebih selesa.

(but i personally recommend you to try ring sling or Boba wrap first for newborn babies... lebih ideal. but nevertheless, kalau nak jimat terus beli Boba 4g pun ok jugak but please bear in mind that ssc might not be comfortable for such tiny infant... boleh biasekan baby pakai kejap2 nanti dia besar insya Allah senang masuk carrier hehe - ni dr pengalaman sendiri yer, cos my newborn hates ssc... buat cinched base ke, pakai infant insert ke, dia tak nak. I've tried Manduca and Boba 4g, but he prefers to be in a ring sling instead... at least until he's 3 months old.)

This is me using Boba 4g for my 3 months (plus) old baby yang beratnya lebih kurang 6.7kg.

Ada infant insert under his bum dalam keadaan macam previous picture.

Baru la tak tenggelam.

By the way, Boba 4G Tweet ni warnanya dark brown... kat gambar nampak hitam. But Tweet color tu body dia DARK BROWN.

Okeh settle bab Boba 4g.


Next, Boba Air.

Boba Air adalah dari jenis ssc juga tapi ianya dari material nylon atau plastic... or contohnya macam material baju hujan. Haaa... Boba Air ni dari material macam tu. Waterproof dan nipis sahaja. Sebab tu boleh lipat-lipat jadi kecik and sumbat masuk handbag. Sebab memang nipis je...

Boba Air takde padding mahupun foot straps. But still have sleeping hood (yang tutup kepala time baby tido tu) dan poket. Buckles sama macam Boba 4g. Beza hanya pada material yang digunakan.

Selesa kah pakai Boba Air? Bagi saya personally, kalau nak pakai kejap-kejap dan baby tak berat sangat, masih ok. Sekejap tu dalam sejam maybe? Sebab Boba Air bagi saya kurang selesa dipakai lama-lama cos takde padding di bahu. Nanti 'dig on your shoulders' especially kalau baby berat. So sakit bahu hehehe...

However, Boba Air is great for emergency use or as second carrier. Standby je dalam bag... or kalau nak travel and nak jimat space (cos u're already bringing a stroller), Boba Air is good enough.

Boba Air is cheaper than Boba 4G cos material tak sama.

Boba Air dari 100% nylon (or macam material baju hujan)

Panas ke pakai Boba Air? Yela, sebab dari material cam payung, baju hujan tu kan?

Well I guess it depends on people.

Ade customers yang suke Boba Air yang diorang beli, and they said it's surprisingly not that hot.

Ade juga customers yang kureng dengan Boba Air and opted to buy Boba 4G instead.

So terpulang masing-masing.

Gambar di atas adalah gambar suami saya mendukung my boy yang masa ni umur dia 2 tahun, berat dalam 13-14kg. ni time terlupa bawak Stork so pakai Boba Air yang memang dah standby dalam handbag.

(we use Stork toddler since anak pun dah 2 tahun tapi time menyinggah pasar malam kat Giant ni baru perasan Stork tertinggal kat rumah)

Bearable. Boleh lagi pakai :)

Well well...

Boba 4G is here!

It is a an improved version of Boba 3G.

Just like the Boba 3G, you do not need an additional infant insert that you have to purchase in order to use it with newborn baby.

What are the differences between the Boba 3G and Boba 4G?

1. Redesigned 'newborn hold'. 

Boba 4g no longer requires you to roll the waist belt and flip the buckles. Boba 4G now features a new infant insert/infant pillow that boost up an infant.

This insert has 2 different stages, one designed for infants/newborns (in the fetal tuck) and a second that resolves the difficult 'in between' stage. Once the insert is no longer needed, it may be completely removed.

**Boba 3g does not have infant insert/pillow. Basically it is EASIER to carry newborn in 4g than in 3g.

2. Slightly redesigned hood.

The hood straps are slightly longer to allow for the hood to be used at a diagonal, providing head support for sleeping babies/toddlers. The hood is also slightly thinner.

**Boba 3g has thicker hood and the design is different.


3. Wider base.

The new Boba 4g has wider cutting than the previous 3g by a few centimeters. I haven't measured, but I think wider just an inch, maybe? You can check the picture below. The carrier on top is Boba 3g while the one under it is Boba 4g.

Hello!

Finally managed to write again in this blog.

For this entry, I would like to share the wonderful pictures by Mama Panda's customers who bought Babyzen Yoyo (and travel with it).

As we can see from the pics above, eventhough Boba 3G can be worn until maximum weight of 20kg, it will not be very comfortable to carry preschooler in this SSC.

Yes, you can still carry your child in it, but maybe not for a long time. The base is not wide enough to cover your child's bum, so the weight is not distributed evenly. For emergency use, still can la... pakai kejap-kejap. hehe...
